My new favorite quote

"anything in life that is worth while is a fucking pain in the ass to obtain and if is not a fucking pain in the ass to obtain then it must not be worth obtaining.  Set your goals in life and do it!  Never ever give up on anything"

2/26 Michigan State Meet Results

2/26 Michigan State Meet results for LP and Troy

WOW what a day!!! I am whipped. Helping these kids lift is harder then lifting. lol I must say that the venue was AMAZING and everyone involved in putting on the MI State mMeet ought to give themselves a well deserved pat on the back. Everything was covered and I am so very excited about AWPC Worlds coming up in the end of July.

OK here we go....................

LP:
Squats
1st: 365, only in his briefs and the attempt was effortless and GOOD. WOO-HOO he was in the meet, lol.
2nd: 455, put the suit on and gave him a light knee wrap. He gutted this one out and it was good for a 50lb PR.
3rd: 500, I cranked the shit out of his knees cause I figured he would need it. I actually think me wrapping him so tight may have messed with his head and he missed the rep.

Bench
1st: 200, RAW ~hit it and it was very easy which is what we wanted. He wasstill in the meet. lol
2nd: 305, Shirted. Missed it off his chest. He softened up near the bottom on the decent and I knew immediately he would miss it and he did.
3rd: 305, After a stern "talking to" I figured he would nail this lift. He stayed VERY tight all the way thru but when he fired off his chest his elbows flared too early and he missed.

DL
1st: 405, SMOKED IT but softened up at the top and the weight pulled him forward. UGH!!!!!!
2nd: 425, SMOKED IT and stayed tight for a good lift
3rd: 455, got it but I will tell you this. If a fly landed on the bar he would have missed this pull. 80lb PR over his best meet pull

Total: 1110lbs for a 105lb PR over his best and only meet total

Troy
Squats:
1st: 565, smoked the weight easily to match his best meet squat
2nd: 600, smoked this one too but he lsot his balance at the top and fell backwards.
3rd: 600, same as 2nd lift but this time he fell backwards on the way down.

Bench
1st: 225, RAW and easy to keep him in the meet.
2nd: 325, shirted and very easy
3rd: 350, did not know he would get this one but we gave it whirl and I'll be damned if he didn't nail the weight for a 25lb PR.

DL
1st: 440, watched his brother fall forward and did not want to be left out so he did the same damn thing. lol
2nd: 475, smoked the weight to match his best meet pull
3rd: 500, he missed this one only cause he stopped pulling

Total: 1390 for a 45lb PR

I am very proud of both of my boys. They reminded what this sport is suppose to be like........supportive of each other and fun. They do not get along for anything here at home but at the meets they have each other's backs and that makes me very PROUD.

Very long and tiring day for all involved in supporting these 2 kids.

HUGE THANKS to MMI, GNL, Mini Me (& Crystal) and Jackie for supporting these kids today

2/24 ME Squat

2/24 ME Squat

Decent nite tonight, still working on getting my squat groove back with the weight loss. Weight is still at 295 and holding steady so I think my body has decided that it's done losing weight. I took my briefs in and had a total of 3" taken in so that they would at least give me something. Felt damn good taking them in that much now I just need to get back to squatting HEAVY.

Sq:
BP: 585x3 ~strong and steady~, went to 675 and for whatever reason I decided to bring my stance in and got buried at the bottom. Not too sure what I was thinking but from now on I will not think
Mini: 455x3 ~STRONG!!~

Leg Press:
BP: 900x20, 990x19 ~lol, I could not get that last rep~
Mini: 540x2x20

Seated Leg Curls:
BP: 135/160/180x7
Mini: 160x2x6

Standing Leg Curls:
BP: 80x2x10
Mini: 50x2x10

Inners:
BP: still skipping these for a while
Mini: 120x2x20

Outers:
BP: 200x2x25

2/22 ME Bench

2/22 ME Bench
